Everywhere you look, the world around us is full of textures. The gills under a mushroom cap, the coarse layers of tree bark, the plush feeling pressing down on a patch of moss, or the smooth surface of a river rock…all of this has inspired my relationship with texture and how I incorporate it into my work.

And the Darkness

In process, my work is very reactive and visceral. I often let the paint, the materials and emotions guide me as I form the initial layers. Every painting takes on a life of its own in that way.

Natural Beauty in its Rawest Form

Texture just adds more layers to the dream, evoking emotions; a feeling, a memory; bringing us back around to a tactile reality.
